Manhattan LCD’s HD089B 8.9-inch Pro Monitor is a one of the best valued HD monitors on the market. The HD089B boasts a 1024x600 pixel screen which equals 614,000 pixels (full pixels, not sub pixels) – twice the number of pixels compared to every 800x480 monitor on the market. This high resolution screen will provide a very sharp picture that really lets you see what you’re focusing on. In addition to the 614,000 pixels, the HD089B has the following advanced features to offer:

DSLR Aspect Ratios – The HD089B includes a special aspect ratio for the Canon 50D, 60D, 5D, T2I, and T3I cameras. These cameras are becoming very popular however are difficult to use with standard field monitors. The camera’s preview and record mode require a custom aspect ratio to display the picture without distortion. The HD089B “DSLR Rec” is an automatic aspect ratio correcting Canon DSLR record and preview modes providing a proper picture.

False Color – Transforms video brightness to a colored scale which helps setting a camera’s exposure. As the camera’s exposure is adjusted, the picture will change colors based on brightness levels. Once this setting is locked in, you will know you are getting suitable exposure without expensive equipment.

Peaking (Focus Assist) – Shows you the position of the camera’s focal plane, as you rack the focus back and forth you can see objects come in and out of focus with a bright white outlining, a very useful feature.

Blue Gun – Blocks red and green data from being displayed on the screen, this feature is used to calibrate the display against your camera’s color bars or house bars.

Digital Age – The HD089B is completely digital from the TFT screen to the driver board. High speed triple ADC, supports NTSC/PAL/SECAM including all substandard, Adaptive 5-line comb filter, processes at 1 billion colors – the HD089B will accept a very board range of signals.

Software Upgradable – The HD089C is software upgradable so you can take advantage of new features being added as the software evolves.
